Newsgroups -- submit link
If you're game for a bit of pushing and shoving, open the newsgroup reader on your Web browser (from Navigator, go to the Window menu and click Netscape News. From Explorer, go to the Go menu and click Read News).
- alt.religion.mormon. Too much bile stored up? Disgorge it all in alt.religion.mormon. You'll fit right in. This newsgroup is the nastiest LDS site on the Web, though the occasional gentle soul tries-for a few days, at least-to inject a word of kindness. (I wish I could claim to be one of those kind people. I'm not. I behave as badly as anyone when I'm in a.r.m.) Don't jump in without reading it for a week or so first. You're unlikely to say anything that hasn't been said dozens of times already. news:alt.religion.mormon
- alt.religion.mormon.fellowship. A nice place. A quiet place. Except when nastiness spills over from a.r.m. and infects the generally nice conversations taking place in a.r.m.f. news:alt.religion.mormon.fellowship
- byu.news. For news, discussion, and information related to Brigham Young University. Very little traffic. news:alt.religion.mormon.fellowship
- msn.forums.religion.latterdaysaint. For Microsoft Network subscribers, this forum is strictly for LDS fellowship. No bashers allowed. I'm not an MSN user, so this site is unrated.
- Section 13. The LDS discussion forum on CompuServe, and accessible only to CIS members. Moderator Arthur Wilde runs a very thoughtful, very tolerant forum. Type go:religion, and log in to section 13.
- soc.religion.mormon. Though this group is moderated, it still manages to be tremendously confrontational. Definitely more civilized than the unmoderated a.r.m., however.
